Parents Plus: Parenting When Separated Programme

The Parents Plus Parenting When Separated programme is a practical, solution-focused evidence-based course that builds on parent strengths as a basis for ongoing change. It is suitable for residential and non-residential parents and runs over six sessions, with groups of parents or with individual parents.

All Parents Plus programmes aim to support families to achieve the best outcomes for children’s well- being. The best interest of the child is paramount. If safeguarding concerns arise, facilitators are encouraged to consider relevant child and adult safeguarding legislation and undertake a comprehensive assessment using local processes before deciding how best to move forward.

  • Deal with the challenges of lone parenting or being a ‘live away’ parent
