Purpose of Programme

The Parenting Apart Programme is an evidence-based intervention that helps separated parents improve communication and place their children’s needs first. It provides practical and emotional support to parents before, during, and after court, ensuring children are not caught in the middle of disputes.

Additional Resources

Parents have access to psychoeducation around the impact of conflict on children, systemic relational approaches, and trauma-informed practice. Resources are designed to help parents understand their child’s experience, develop empathy, and build constructive co-parenting strategies.

Safeguarding Measures

An initial assessment is carried out to identify whether it is safe to work with both parents together or individually. Risks such as domestic abuse, coercive control, or child safeguarding concerns are carefully considered. We also work with families where children are in need, on child protection plans, or in care proceedings, ensuring safety remains the priority.
